As a Senior Graphic Designer for the Naval Postgraduate School, I created strategic and visually engaging communications that supported one of the nation’s leading graduate institutions serving military professionals, Department of Defense civilians, and international partners. My work centered on transforming complex information and research-driven content into compelling visual narratives that informed, inspired, and connected audiences across both the public and military sectors on a national scale.
I collaborated closely with data analysts, copywriters, photographers, and cross-functional departments to gather and organize content for a wide range of communications, including annual reports, fact books, fact sheets, quarterly magazines, monthly newsletters, and integrated marketing campaigns. Through strong relationship-building and thoughtful collaboration, I ensured all materials were accurate, relevant, and aligned with the institution’s mission and standards of excellence.
A significant part of my role involved designing and producing high-impact publications such as the quarterly InReview Magazine, institutional reports, and recruitment materials that highlighted the achievements, research, and academic contributions of the university community. I also developed print and social media advertisements that strengthened audience engagement and expanded visibility across multiple communication platforms.
In addition to creative direction and design execution, I managed print production operations using the Canon ImagePress C6000, overseeing the printing and quality control of annual reports, magazines, and other collateral materials. This hands-on production experience allowed me to maintain exceptional print standards while ensuring projects were delivered efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
