As the contracted graphic designer for National Geographic Learning, a division of Cengage Learning, I focused on producing publication‑ready design for global educational audiences. I supported both the marketing team and the children’s learning division, ensuring that every visual asset advanced the organization’s mission to make high‑quality learning accessible worldwide. Working within a mission‑driven environment, I shaped visual systems that supported PreK–12 and English‑language learning worldwide. I approached each project with a commitment to clarity, intellectual rigor, and design excellence—values deeply aligned with academic communication and institutional storytelling.
I designed and refined book covers, case jackets, disc packaging, marketing assets, catalog design updates and instructional inserts, ensuring every asset met strict production and press‑ready standards. My workflow included a full pre‑flight review where I verified color accuracy, typographic consistency, layout integrity, and technical specifications before files moved into mass production. I also contributed to the layout of National Geographic Explorer Magazine, transforming educational content into visually engaging editorial experiences that honored the organization’s iconic visual identity.
Across all initiatives, I collaborated with art directors, editors, and production teams to maintain efficient workflows and uphold brand excellence. These experiences strengthened my belief that design is both a creative and strategic discipline—one that advances learning, communication, and community impact.
